About the Role: Effective School Solutions (ESS) is searching for a dedicated Per Diem Mental Health Training and Development Coach to enhance the expertise of K-12 school districts. This role focuses on empowering educators, school counselors, parents, and stakeholders with valuable knowledge related to student mental health and social-emotional learning.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the social and emotional challenges that students face. We are looking for someone passionate about delivering engaging professional development and coaching on a wide range of mental health topics.

This position comes with comprehensive training to equip the selected candidate with a solid foundation in ESS's professional development offerings, along with access to various resources, including PowerPoints, facilitator guides, and handouts. Trainings and coaching sessions will be conducted both in-person and virtually, depending on the needs of the school districts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct 1-6 hours of professional development workshops for school districts.
• Train and coach groups of district staff (up to 12 members) through monthly sessions, individual coaching, and regular feedback.
• Document and submit coaching scores and findings post-sessions.
• Consult with school professionals and clinicians as needed.
• Manage administrative tasks such as data collection and attendance at professional development meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Master's degree in Education or a Mental Health-related field is preferred (Bachelor's degree required).
• Strong understanding of student mental health and social-emotional challenges.
• Experience in training and coaching educational professionals and parents on mental health topics.
• Bilingual candidates, especially in Spanish, are preferred.
• At least one year of experience in providing professional development and coaching on youth or mental health topics is preferred.
• Experience or certification in Nurtured Heart Approach and/or Youth Mental Health First Aid (Y-MHFA) is a plus.
