What you'll do: The Brass Tacks - Communicate with Banquet Lead and Banquet Set Up to guarantee a successful function
- Responsible for greeting and serving guests, and responding to any questions, complaints, or special requests
- Manicure tables by clearing plates, glassware etc. and maintain a neat "front of the house" service area
- Prepare work area prior to guest arrival, including rolling silverware, plating table and stocking service / beverage stations with coffee, water, ice, napkins, straws, and garnishes as needed
- Sets banquet tables to meet function specifications
- Delivers and serves food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments, and accompaniments
- Ensures menu knowledge
- Removes China, glassware, silverware, etc. from banquet rooms at the conclusion of the event and delivers to the stewarding area
- Ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
- Responds to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc
The Nitty Gritty - Candidates must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Professionalism, politeness, and efficiency as a server are also required
- Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
- Previous experience as a server is preferred
- Courteous, professional, and attentive to guests of the events
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job: stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, carry heavy objects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Work as part of a team to maintain guest satisfaction
- Follow instructions provided for each specific event
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
- Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
