Job description
Responsible for the efficient and timely handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. This role supports internal departments by ensuring reliable delivery, pickup, and processing of mail and shipments.
Responsibilities:
* Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate recipients.
* Prepare and process outgoing mail and shipments, including labeling, postage, and courier coordination.
* Ensure timely delivery of interoffice mail.
* Monitor and manage mail room supplies and request replenishments as needed.
* Coordinate with couriers, vendors, and internal teams regarding delivery issues or requirements.
* Assist with filing, copying, scanning, and other clerical tasks as required.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mail room.
* Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and mail handling.
* Supporting the Mail Room Supervisor with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth mailroom functions
Education and experience
* High school diploma/GED
* Previous mailroom or administrative experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge
* Strong attention to detail
* Organizational skills.
* Ability to lift packages up to [30-50 lbs].
* Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, etc.).
* Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Able to stand, lift and walk throughout the day
