Job Description

MelroseMAC is seeking an experienced  Cabling-Wiring Integration Technician with F iber Splicing expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems, including fiber-optic networks, office internet connections, and digital/telephone lines for both residential and business clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with fiber splicing and working with fiber-optic cables, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' technology infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work independently or as part of a team depending on your level of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems, including fiber-optic networks.
• Perform fiber splicing, cable termination, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct operational tests on newly installed systems and perform routine maintenance on existing infrastructure.
• Install data, voice, and fiber-optic cables for residential and commercial clients.
• Upgrade existing systems and maintain technology infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber-optic and other low-voltage systems.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of experience working with fiber-optic cable installation,  fiber splicing , and related systems.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring systems, including data and voice cabling.
• Ability to interpret project drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient in installing and terminating network and AV cables, including fiber-optic and coaxial cables.
• Strong knowledge of cable pathway standards, racking systems, and cable dressing.
• Familiarity with security cabling techniques and AV terminations (e.g., RGB, VGA, BNC).
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background check.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Fiber Splicing and testing equipment.
• Ability to work off of ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.

• Pay: $25–$40 per hour (based on experience).

Schedule:

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts.

• On-site, Los Angeles, CA.
