ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

\nRN - Med Surg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Work on 1E - MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit with 18 beds (all private rooms due to infectious diseases)
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 or 1:4 if COVID patients
\n• Care for patients with infectious diseases including isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and other infectious conditions
\n• Must have strong knowledge in MedSurg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions
\n• Manage Heparin and typical MedSurg IV medications, antibiotics (no cardiac drips)
\n• Remote telemetry monitoring from 3rd floor - RNs do not read or interpret strips
\n• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow oxygen equipment managed by respiratory therapy
\n• Every-other-weekend requirement (nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday ; days: Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
\n• First to float to any MedSurg units or telemetry within skillset
\n• May be called off for low census depending on contract
\n• Royal blue scrub dress code required
\n• Two-day orientation: one day EPIC training, one day floor orientation with preceptor, third day independent
\n• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
\n• Must provide unexpired copy of driver's license with submission
\n• BSN not required

The facility maintains high standards for infection control with all private room accommodations on the infectious disease unit. The organization utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides 24/7 charge nurse coverage to support nursing staff and ensure quality patient care.
