Job Description

A local organization is seeking a skilled and dependable Director of Grounds and Transportation to join their team! This position is responsible for overseeing all transportation operations and grounds maintenance, ensuring that vehicles, equipment, and facilities are safe, clean, and operating efficiently.


Responsibilities include:

• Performing and scheduling maintenance and repairs on buses, vehicles, and equipment
• Supervising grounds and summer staff
• Managing snow removal, mowing, watering, and athletic field upkeep
• Assisting with bus routes as needed to ensure smooth and reliable transportation operations

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and credentials in auto and diesel mechanics, hold active Passenger, Air Brake, and School Bus driver's license endorsements, and demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. Candidates must take pride in their work, maintain a safe and professional environment, and proactively identify and complete maintenance needs.


Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pay is $32.50 per hour DOE. This is a full-time position offering stability, variety, and the opportunity to make a direct impact in the community.
