This position is with a very stable company that primarily writes Homeowners and Dwelling Property coverage and exists to help maintain stability in the Ohio property and casualty insurance market. There are no sales or marketing duties in this position. Primary responsibilities: Review correspondence and reports for processing Route non-routine items or risks beyond assigned authority Calculate the estimated replacement costs of dwellings Respond to 200-250 inbound calls/week from agents and customers about application/policy status, payment status, and underwriting guidelines Review applications for basic eligibility Send routine form letters To perform the job successfully, an individual should be able to: Compile complex or diverse information Easily make sound decisions and understand the business implications of them Teach concepts to those unfamiliar with them Focus on solving the problem rather than finding blame Follow instructions from experienced co-workers and management Speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations Demonstrate correct spelling and grammar Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor's degree is required Insurance experience is not necessary An insurance agent's license is not required The Ohio FAIR Plan offers: 401(k) with an excellent match Hybrid work schedule after training Health insurance Dental insurance Dress-for-your-day attire Early Out option Routinely a 40 hour work week Ohio FAIR Plan
