Insulation Installer


Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a well-regarded client in Romulus, Michigan , a leader in Modular Home Manufacturing .


Insulation Installer Job Summary:


Pay: $21.00/hour (starting rate, based on experience)


1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with potential overtime on weekends as needed.


Responsibilities:

• Install insulation materials (fiberglass batts, spray foam, rigid board, etc.) in walls, floors, ceilings, and roof assemblies of modular homes
  
  
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation according to specifications, blueprints, and energy-efficiency requirements
  
  
• Seal gaps, joints, and penetrations to ensure proper air sealing and thermal performance
  
  
• Follow building codes, company quality standards, and energy-efficiency guidelines
  
  
• Work efficiently in a factory-based production environment to meet build schedules
  
  
• Coordinate with framing, electrical, plumbing, and drywall teams during the modular construction process
  
  
• Inspect completed insulation work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  
  
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
  
  
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  
  
• Assist with other tasks as required to support the overall modular home manufacturing process

Qualifications:

• 4-6+ years of experience in commercial or residential insulation installation
  
  
• Prior experience with fiberglass, foam, or other insulation systems preferred
  
  
• Knowledge of R-values, air sealing, and energy-efficiency best practices
  
  
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow instructions
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  
  
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
  
  
• Certifications preferred:
  
  
• BPI (Building Performance Institute)
  
  
• SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance - Assistant, Installer, or Master)
  
  
• HPIP (High Performance Insulation Professionals)
  
  
• ENERGY STAR / DOE Weatherization
  
  
• OSHA Construction Safety
