Job Title: Global IT Security Analyst 

 

Work Location: Based in Cincinnati, Ohio - Hybrid role 

 

Work Schedule: Work schedule may flex to accommodate global responsibilities. 

 

Travel Requirement: Occasional travel required

 

The role of Global IT Security Analyst demands robust technical expertise, enabling the execution of security procedures with little supervision while contributing to operational efficiencies. This individual will play a key role in evaluating current tools, applications, and processes to bolster and optimize existing capabilities. Additionally, they will identify gaps and propose technical solutions to enhance both the team’s effectiveness and Sun’s overall security posture.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Support the implementation of security programs for Sun Chemical users by executing assigned project deliverables.
• Assist in performing security assessments; assist with identifying security threats and vulnerabilities across the client environments; provide reporting and analysis to appropriate teams.
• Support our User Awareness Program, which will include assisting with the monitoring our PhishER platform and Second Chance, as well as generating and analyzing various reports to enhance organizational security awareness.
• Collaborate on practical security solutions to address emerging threats and compliance requirements, including operationalizing recommended solutions.
• Help achieve/advise on compliance, identify compliance initiatives, and assist in authoring and promoting appropriate security policies.
• Inform the relevant stakeholders, including internal departments, about the changes; document program procedures that include guidelines and flowcharts for continuous implementation; and establish tools or metrics to assess the effectiveness of the program's implementation.
• Research and recommend security updates.
• Develop and update security-based business continuity and DR protocols.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year degree (in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related technical field), or relevant work experience in place of formal education.
• CompTIA Security+ certification, CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional is a plus.
• 3-5 years cybersecurity experience
