Arkansas Talent Group is seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Distribution/Manufacturing Controller to oversee and optimize our client's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment that involves high-volume inventory control. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and profitability of their operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight & Cost Management

• Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing and distribution operations, ensuring cost efficiency.

• Analyze financial data related to production costs, inventory, and logistics to identify opportunities for savings.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and profitability.

Production & Inventory Management

• Oversee production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization.

• Maintain accurate inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize waste or excess stock.

• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing or distribution processes and implement solutions to improve productivity.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and regulatory standards across all operations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead a small accounting team.

• Partner with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align production with customer demand.

• Provide training and mentorship to team members to foster professional development.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 8-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry roles, with the last 5+ as a Controller

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost analysis.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills .

• Demonstrated expertise in cost and trend analysis.

• Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
