The Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of all grounds and general building repairs. He/She will be responsible for the landscape and maintenance of property using hand tools, power tools and other equipment.
Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report REQUIRED
Duties & Responsibilities:
Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
Perform landscaping work including: mowing, trimming, and cleaning litter.
Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
Rakes, bags leaves.
Cleans grounds and removes litter.
Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
Spreads salt or specified treatments on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Maintenance of fences, gates, walks and outbuildings.
Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
Perform janitorial duties as needed.
Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, weed cutters, edging tools, spreader and snow removal equipment.
Perform general building repairs in a proactive manor.
Will perform basic plumbing and pipe fitting, threading, PVC.
Perform restroom repairs, sinks, lavatories, etc.
Able to perform basic drain repair.
Maintains lighting fixtures and performs basic electrical repairs.
Will work overtime as needed while remaining flexible to changing schedules.
Other duties as needed or assigned.
