We are seeking a part time Bookkeeper to join our team! - Record and classify all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks. - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records - Prepare journal entries for various financial activities including accruals, depreciation, and adjustments - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately - Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings in compliance with governmental regulations - Generate detailed financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards in all accounting procedures - Maintain meticulous records of all bookkeeping activities, supporting audit readiness at all times
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms - Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices - Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus - Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques - Ability to perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation accurately - Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle high-volume data entry (10 key typing skills) - Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Good communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members - Technical proficiency in financial software systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or equivalent tools
